Can you share a personal experience that profoundly influenced your views on the power of silence?
I have deep experiences all the time when it comes to choosing to watch my words. Speaking clean is my new way of life, and when I meet someone I don’t like, I immediately commit to being wrong about him/her.
Speaking good about people is infectious. And when you don’t have anything nice to say…STFU.
How does epigenetic research support the idea that our words and thoughts can impact our genes?
Studies are showing that you can have genetic predispositions to a particular disease, but if you don’t stress yourself out, you won’t activate it—the study of epigenetics what is above genetics. I believe the more that we metabolize stress in a healthy way, the healthier we will be.
What was the most surprising discovery you made while researching this topic?
The most surprising thing that I discovered is how much people are addicted to stressful conversations. They literally need to STFU. Once this starts, it will be like a crack on the wall and it will only get bigger. People will achieve the life of their dreams through silence.
What are some of the first steps someone can take to start incorporating silence and non-complaint into their daily life?
Start adopting a 5-minute meditation practice in the morning. Go to YouTube and find a free meditation. After that, monitoring what you say and staying positive will become very easy.
Can you share a success story from someone who has applied the principles from your book?
My friend Marie was in a five-year depression, and ever since she read the book, she has been on fire. She is super mindful about what she says and brings good people and situations her way.

When you read my book, you will never go back to how you used to be. A new sense of awareness and mindfulness will be your new normal; there is no going back after that.

Mindfulness and meditation is the whole STFU Method.
Do you have any upcoming projects or initiatives that you’re excited about?
I am excited to start retreats and a podcast and grow the amount of keynote talks about this subject. I see what this work does to people, and I know we haven’t even scratched its potential.
Why do you think people stay stuck in their lives?
They don’t shut up about the complaints in their lives.
How can someone immediately transform their lives?
They monitor how negatively they describe their life.
What are the thoughts that you need to be repeating to yourself to attract the future that you dream of?
Just little tweaks here and there go a long long way.
What is the biggest obstacle to our personal growth?
When I get to future focus and don’t enjoy the only thing that is real…the NOW moment.
Why now? What prompted you to write THIS book at this time of your life?
My parents died of cancer and I wanted to be “that guy” in everyone’s lives that is trying to help.
What do you hope stands out to the reader in this book?
The simplicity of this method is what I want it to really stand out.
What is the core message do you want the world to understand after reading it?
You have to do your part too…STFU
How can people find the ultimate peace in life right now in this moment?
Look at your feet and take a breath…remind yourself that this moment is IT and that millions of people would kill to be YOU right now.
